Sofiya Dr Sofiya Got-Macfarland (known as Dr Sofiya) is our Education Director and Clinical Expert at RW Perio, bringing global expertise, strategic vision, and a passion for education to the team. With a career spanning clinical practice, academic research, and healthcare strategy, she is a driving force behind RW Perio’s educational vision. Dr Sofiya holds an MSc and PhD in Dentistry and completed an MBA in Healthcare Management in London. She also gained advanced training in dental implantology through the prestigious ITI Scholarship at the University of Hong Kong, further enhancing her international clinical perspective.

Dr Sofiya’s professional journey includes senior roles within the NHS and as Chief Scientific Officer at a pioneering rare disease charity, where she led high-impact initiatives in collaboration with clinicians, patient groups, regulators, and pharmaceutical partners. A multilingual educator and speaker, Dr Sofiya has delivered presentations at numerous international conferences, sharing insights on periodontology, healthcare strategy, and patient-centred care. She is a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Ukrainian Academy of Periodontology, where she has played an important role in shaping standards for periodontal care and professional training.
