Where the loss of gum tissue and the bone underneath is extensive, treatment options in terms of gum grafts are limited. Many patients are also not keen on having surgery. This is a gingival veneer – a thin plastic/silicone mask –it is worn over the exposed root surface and mimics the missing gum. The patient was over the moon to have her smile back!
